Since 1932, when Kilcoo was founded by Charles F. Plewman, thousands of boys and young men from Canada and around the world have shared a certain magic on the shores of Gull Lake in the Highlands of Haliburton. Kilcoo helps to build self confidence, social responsibility and appreciation of others, but the magic really takes place when the sum of all the experiences and friendships come together to create a most special time and feeling in our campers' lives. Miners’ Bay Lodge, family-owned and operated since 1938, is a family-oriented summer resort in the beautiful Highlands of Haliburton. Located approximately 2 hours north-east of Toronto on highway 35, our 70-acre property sits on the shores of Gull and Round Lakes. We are surrounded by lakes, there being more than 500 in the county and these, along with Haliburton’s wooded hills, make a most attractive setting for your holidays. Our summer season runs from mid-June to Labour Day.
The Lake Partnership Program is a province-wide, volunteer-based, water-quality monitoring program. Volunteers collect total phosphorus samples and make monthly water clarity observations on their lakes.

CEWF Mission Statement The Coalition is seeking the implementation of an equitable water management policy for the TSW that accords equal consideration, along with fair and just treatment, to everyone in the entire Trent River Watershed. Reservoir and flow through (RAFT) lake communities should be considered equally with all other TSW communities where the policy applies to safe navigation, access to waterfront property, economic sustainability and the avoidance of negative environmental and economic impacts
HHHS Minden provides out-patient & walk-in clinic services in the Emergency Department. The Community Health Care Centre at the Minden site of HHHS offers a medical clinic, visiting specialists and other health programs that allow residents of Haliburton County to receive special care locally.
