Benifits of Membership include:

  • A regularly updated website to keep us connected as a community
  • Participation in the Lake Partner program of the Ministry of the Environment
  • Lake water testing
  • Membership in FOCA, the Federation of Ontario Cottage Associations
  • The ability to identify issues of common concern to residents
  • The ability to work with Minden Township to address issues of concern

The Association depends on your annual membership fee of $40 to pay for:

  • FOCA membership fees
  • Association Liability Insurance (without which, the association cannot exist)
  • Communication expenses (envelopes, stamps and printing)
  • Special Events, including the Regatta and AGM
  • Merchandise
  • Community donations (AMICI, Minden Hospital etc)  

With a strong membership base, there are additional projects that can be addressed,
such as supplemental water testing, or the creation of an ‘emergency fund’ should it
be necessary to secure legal or other professional assistance in dealing with issues of
common concern to residents of the area.

Dear GLCA members,

This year we are introducing a new "green" option for your
membership renewal.   

The "green" membership : $40.   
You will receive your newsletters by email and your phone directory
will be available for pickup at the AGM and/ or regatta.    

Or still available is :

The traditional membership: $50.   
(Nothing will change; you will still receive your newsletters by mail)   

We will be initiating this system for our spring newsletter – so
please renew your dues before March so we can stay in touch and
provide you with the summer line up of fun events!
